Substance Abuse Programs at Ridgeview Institute
At Ridgeview, we provide inpatient care, partial hospitalization, and intensive outpatient therapy to support patients at every step on their path to recovery from substance abuse disorder.
One of the primary challenges for someone with a substance abuse disorder is handling withdrawal. We provide round-the-clock medical supervision to help patients navigate the detoxification process as safely and comfortably as possible.
Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP)
Patients who no longer need 24-hour support but aren’t quite ready for outpatient treatment can access our partial hospitalization program. During this phase, patients live in apartment-style residences (with separate quarters for men and women) at our Smyrna facility. Patients participate in 12-step meetings, group outings, and other recovery-based activities to help them transition to an addiction-free lifestyle.
Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP)
Most patients who participate in our intensive outpatient program can do so while working or attending school. However, if a clinician recommends residential support, they may live in our Recovery Residences. The IOP centers on coping skills, stress management, and relapse prevention.
Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT)
The MAT program is for patients who are still battling withdrawal symptoms or especially intense cravings after detox. This program features outpatient addiction counseling combined with Suboxone (Buprenorphine/Naloxone). Your treatment team can help you decide if our Medication-Assisted Treatment program is right for you.
This substance abuse treatment track is for patients dealing with substance use disorder, along with a co-occurring mental health issue, such as anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, and post-traumatic stress. We provide patients with addiction-recovery tools, plus strategies to manage other mental health conditions.
